- PLAY GROUP - Age Criteria: 2 – 3 yrs
This children's first exposure to an informal, though structured learning-through-play, helps them explore and understand the world around them, and leads to their gross motor skills, emotional, language, cognitive development and refinement of senses,esp touch, audio & visual. - NURSERY - Age Criteria: 3 – 4 yrs
“Failing to prepare is preparing to fail”, they say. Kids in the Nursery Class at Little Prodigies get into Reading, Writing, Counting, Number recognition and Problem- solving, with structured activities like story - telling, role-playing, speech and drama, helping kids not only to start enjoying their Curriculum flow, but also refining their senses, developing their Gross & Fine Motor Skills, and enhancing Cognitive & Personality traits. - LOWER KG - Age Criteria: 4 - 5 yrs / UPPER KG - Age Criteria: 5 - 6 yrs
These Programs at Little Prodigies endeavour to deliver a well-rounded Personality to children as they prepare to step into primary school.
The children pass through a Unique Learning environment, with Experimentation, Trial and Error, Observing, Listening , Participating and Team building skills & habits being cultivated.

There is no "One- method-fits-all" system in our School. > Our teaching & learning philosophy which adopts the MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE CONCEPT, incorporates a well-balanced blend of the Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, Montessori & other approaches for Pre-Schoolers, and thus based on "Experiential learning".
> A child can learn multiplication through an activity based on '"multiplication as addition"’ and another child can learn the same with an activity based on grouping of objects.

3) HOW DOES THE SCHOOL CHECK THE BACKGROUND OF ITS EMPLOYEES ?
We conduct a comprehensive background check on prospective employees, wherever felt necessary, as part of our pre-joining formalities. Candidates with any adverse feedback, are not selected.

4) WHAT ARE YOUR TEACHERS' QUALIFICATIONS ?
The quality of teachers (child development professionals) is not compromised since they form one of the three important pillars in a young child’s life at this stage, the other two being the Dad & Mom.
The teachers who we recruit are minimum graduates, and apart from the earlier varied experience they get to the School team, they undergo in-house training & induction into the School's SOP's & the HALLMARK OPERATING STANDARDS that Little Prodigies has come to be known for, before embarking on the Childcare role at the School. -
5) CAN I VISIT MY CHILD AT THE SCHOOL ANY TIME I'D LIKE TO ?
Yes, we have an OPEN DOOR POLICY. You may visit the School anytime, but only outside the classroom hours, to avoid children getting disturbed while the classes are on.
While the School is on, parents are welcome to visit the School Office, and have access through CCTV to seeing what the Child is doing. -
6) DOES THE SCHOOL PROVIDE MEALS ALSO TO THE CHILDREN ?
Yes. We run & maintain our own in-house kitchen with a full-time cook, so that we can serve nutritious home-cooked meals each day during the mid-morning mini-meal break.

7) IS THERE A PLAYGROUND IN THE SCHOOL ?
Yes, we have good play areas in the School and a clean, compact front tiled area (playground) as well.

8) DOES MY CHILD HAVE TO BE TOILET-TRAINED?
No. We do not expect all children to be completely toilet- trained, and thus have diaper-changing facilities in all our classrooms.
We have always been more than willing to work with the children (and parents) during this process of their getting toilet - trained. -
9) WHAT IS THE TEACHER - STUDENT RATIO FOLLOWED IN THE CLASS ?
In the interest of ensuring that all children get individual attention, the School maintains the ratio at 1: 9 or 1:10 maximum.
We also do not ever exceed a strength of maximum 18-20 students per class, with one Teacher, one Assistant Teacher & a maid to look after every class. -
10) HOW MANY TERMS DOES THE SCHOOL HAVE ?
The School has 3 terms -
the first ending towards early-September ;
the second before the Christmas holidays ;
and the final towards March-end. -
11) IS IT A BAG-LESS SCHOOL ?
Ours is a "light-bag" School for sure.
Children need to carry fewer books to the School as per the time- table for the day. -
12) DO CHILDREN GET HOMEWORK ?
Home work is an integral part of the Curriculum, and serves to further reinforce learning in the children based on what has been taught in class.
However, homework given by teachers is both minimal & not stressful at all, with a progressive increase only for the Lower & Upper KG classes. -
13) IS SPOKEN ENGLISH ENCOURAGED IN THE SCHOOL ?
The medium of instruction followed at our School is English ; but for the sake of enabling children to understand the subject matter of the lessons taught, teachers speak bi-lingually in Hindi too, till all students in the class gradually start feeling comfortable with English.
Children are also encouraged to speak in English in non- classriom activities as well, so as to reinforce their comprehension of the language a little more. -
14) DOES THE SCHOOL TAKE STUDENTS FOR EDUCATIONAL EXCURSIONS ?
Yes. Excursions and educational trips are a part of the active learning process. These are organized on a regular basis to various places, as indicated in the School Calendar too.

15) WHAT ARE THE SCHOOL TIMINGS ?
The School runs TWO SHIFTS :
> MORNING SHIFT TIMINGS are as follows:
- PLAYGROUP and NURSERY : 9.00 am to 12.00 Noon.
- LKG & UKG: 9.00 am to 1.00pm
> AFTERNOON SHIFT :
12 Noon to 3.00 pm FOR ALL PRESCHOOL CLASSES .
> OPEN / PVT. SCHOOL ( 1st To 7th Std.) :
9.00 am to 2.00 pm FOR ALL CLASSES . -
16) HOW DOES THE SCHOOL TAKE ADEQUATE MEASURES TO ENSURE HYGIENE IN THE SCHOOL ?
High standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene are a key feature of our School, and also a part of our Mission to inculcate in children .
The teachers & support staff also not only follow the same, but keep observing & guiding the kids till it becomes a habit with them. -
17) DOES THE SCHOOL CELEBRATE ALL FESTIVALS ?
Yes, multi-cultural and cross-religious festival celebrations are an important part of a child’s growing up phase ...
... and the School not only celebrates all these festivals with gusto, explaining to our tiny tots the significance of each,...
... but also tries to inculcate in them the wonderful concept of "Unity in Diversity" that is India !!

18) WHAT ARE THE FIRST AID ARRANGEMENTS AT THE SCHOOL IN CASE IF ANY CASUALTY ?
In keeping with international standards, an in-house first aid kit is maintained at the School to attend to any MINOR INJURIES & MEDICAL EMERGENCIES.
For MAJOR EMERGENCIES, the SOP adopted by the School is for the School staff to rush the student to a nearby (reputed) hospital, and parents to be most urgently informed of the matter simultaneously. -
19) HOW OFTEN ARE PTM's CONDUCTED ?
PTM's are held once every term, for all the three terms that the School functions in.

20) OTHER THAN A PTM, WHEN CAN A PARENT INTERACT WITH THE TEACHER ?
We consider parents as partners in the education process of their children, and they are free to meet teachers with prior appointment, as and when they have something of concern to talk about.
